Bremerton, Washington - Council # 1379
Purpose:  To promote activities the promote development of youth in our community.  Includes sporting competitions, essay contests, etc.

Sponsored Events/Activities:  Some of the many events sponsored include: Basketball Free-Throw Competitions, Soccer Challenge, Katie Kitsap Pageant, etc.  Specific events are posted below.

KATIE KITSAP APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED:

      The Knights of Columbus began sponsoring Katie Kitsap in the spring of 1978.  Little Miss Katie Kitsap is recognized as the mascot of the Kitsap Rodeo Fair and Stampede Queen since she was first crowned.  The Knights of Columbus council 1379 has sponsored a pot luck dinner for the Katie Kitsap contestants and their families one week prior to Queen of the Kitsap County Rodeo Fair and Stampede pageant.  This allows the Rodeo court to meet these little girls.  The court will spend approximately 1 hr with the contestants and decide who will be the next Katie Kitsap.   The winner will be crowned Miss Katie Kitsap at the Queens pageant.

REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER:

AGE : 5 years old Contestant must be years old before June 30, 2010 and still 6 years old on June 30, 2011 . 

PHOTO:  Send in a recent photo of the contestant to:  KATIE KITSAP c/o The Knights of Columbus council 1379, 2515 Burwell St., Bremerton WA 98312.
 
DESCRIPTION: A short write up about her hobbies, what she likes, siblings, pets, school, etc.  

RETURN ADDRESS:   Please provide an address along with a phone number.

PARENTS RESPOSIBILITIES:   Each contestant must have one/guardian present with her at all events. 

DEADLINE:   All entries must be received by the Knights of Columbus on or before April 1, 2010.

The Knights of Columbus Katie Kitsap pot luck will be held on April 6 2010.  Dinner served at 6:30 PM.

The Queen of  The Rodeo Fair and Stamped pageant will be held on 10 April 2010 at the Kitsap County fairgrounds.  And there will be a rehearsal at the same place on April 9 2010.
