One of the benefits of becoming a Knight is the opportunity to purchase superior insurance at reasonable rates. The Knights of Columbus was founded in part to provide insurance for immigrant Catholic families who had lost the breadwinner due to accident or illness.
In the late 19th century, there was no Catholic benefit program available to provide for the families left behind. In forming the Knights, Father McGivney's vision was, in part, to provide for the Knight's widow and orphans. Click Here for the Knights of Columbus Insurance Page.
